  3. If any seams are split and you feel are repairable, then put them into your REPAIR bag.

  4. Return those you're keeping to their home in your closet.

STYLIST’S TIPS:

Gloves are one of the most overlooked accessories here in Oz, especially in Queensland, where we have so few digit-numbing days, however, they are a chic accessory to utilise in the cooler months. You will often see the best-dressed women at the races sporting a pair of gloves, most commonly the low scoop variety.

A well-fitted pair of leather (or good looking faux leather) gloves in a neutral colour – black, stone, navy, burgundy - is a marvellous starting point.

Fingerless lace gloves have not been all that common since Madonna was a virgin and not just ‘like one’, so we can probably let this style go… or pop them in a fancy dress costume bag?

Elbow length satin style gloves can channel old-school Hollywood glamour for a winter ball, gala or formal wedding.

FOLLOW UP ACTION REQUIRED:

  • It’s the right time here in the southern hemisphere to be buying gloves! If you haven’t got a pair, take a browse!

  • Let go of those that no longer serve and tend to any repairs.
